With three locations, a stunning collection of vintage eyewear, and a full service optical, Hotel de Ville is the best place to go for your vintage frame needs. Hotel de Ville travels the globe to bring you the best in dead stock(unused) vintage eyewear. None of the funky used stuff you find at thrift stores. Only the highest quality "mint" condition frames.
Modern frames are injection-molded while vintage frames were made by hand with higher design and quality standards. You can feel the difference with your hands and when the frames touch your face and sit perfectly on your nose.
Hotel de Ville has three locations in Los Angeles. One on Fairfax, another on Beverly, and a store in Los Feliz. I visited the Fairfax location and decided to try a few frames out for myself. In the photo above I posed with a pair of early 1980s gold Infiniti's by Christian Dior.

The Hotel de Ville staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful. Every staff member is an optician and can fill prescription lens orders in any frame. You can buy one of their frames or bring in your own vintage frame that you find at a flea market, or inherited, etc. and they will put the prescription in it. They love older frames and bringing them back to life with new prescriptions, buffing, or repairs.
